🎶 Music & Smiles at Eastleigh Care Homes! ☀️
We had an absolutely wonderful day here at Eastleigh! The sun was shining, and our garden was filled with the beautiful sounds of live music, thanks to a very special visit from the talented Jason Toft! 🎹🎤
Jason brought his incredible energy, singing and playing a fantastic selection of tunes on the piano that had everyone tapping their toes and singing along. It was lovely to see our residents and staff joining in, keeping the rhythm, and sharing plenty of smiles. There’s nothing quite like music to bring people together, and the joy on everyone's faces said it all.
A massive thank you to Jason for making the day so memorable for our residents. We’re already looking forward to the next performance!

🐝 Learning All About Bees & Sweet Treats!
We had an absolutely brilliant day learning all about nature’s hardest workers! Our residents dove into an educational activity detailing the fascinating Life Cycle of a Bee.
We learned how:
The Queen bee lays an egg in the honeycomb.
It transforms into a larva after 3 days.
The pupa grows its legs, wings, and eyes.
Finally, the bee emerges and flies off to gather nectar to make delicious honey.
A Sweet Reward
Of course, you can't learn about bees without tasting their hard work! A huge thank you to Quince Honey Farm for the wonderful goodies. Our residents loved putting together their own paper bee crafts and, most importantly, taste-testing some lovely honey spread on toast.
It's safe to say our home is absolutely buzzing today! 💛🖤

🐾 A Very Special Visitor at the Home! 🐾
We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the wonderful Ralph the PAT (Pets As Therapy) dog into our home! There is truly nothing quite like some four-legged therapy to bring bright smiles, wagging tails, and warm hearts to our residents. 🥰 To top off a perfect afternoon, we also made sure to cool down and treat ourselves to some delicious, refreshing ice lollies! 🍦

There’s nothing quite like the joy of baking and taste-testing together, with everyone handling the mixing with absolute precision and care. The secret to the perfect batch is always a bit of hard work and steady stirring, and the best part of all is definitely getting to see the final masterpiece of delicious chocolate crispy cakes ready to be enjoyed. We haven't let the hot weather slow us down today! Our team set up some cooling sensory water bowl for our residents to enjoy.
Everyone loved dipping their hands into the cool water to search for hidden treasures like little yellow ducks, leaves, and sea shells. It's a fantastic, therapeutic activity for tactile stimulation and focus—and the perfect way to refresh on a warm afternoon!
Of course, a hot day wouldn't be complete without a refreshing ice cream out in the sunshine. 😎🍦

Beating the Heat at Eastleigh Care Home! 🍦☀️
What a scorcher of a day it’s been here in Eastleigh! The sun is shining brightly, and the temperature is definitely rising. But don't worry, we found the perfect way to cool down!
We had a very special visit from the ice cream van today, much to everyone's delight. It was the perfect opportunity to sit outside in the shade, enjoy the refreshing treat, and have a good chat with friends.
The joy and laughter as everyone savored their ice creams were truly heartwarming. It’s simple pleasures like this that make such a big difference, especially on a very hot day.
Here's hoping for more ice cream days soon! In the meantime, we'll be staying hydrated and making the most of this beautiful summer weather.
