Eastleigh team members work to make sure that our residents enjoy life as fully as possible. Here are just a few of the people you’ll find at our Care Homes.

Garry Wilson - Owner/Managing Director EMAIL

 I started the Eastleigh Care Homes venture with the East Street home back in 1992, since then I have added another two sites to the Eastleigh Care Homes group. My aim from the start has been to provide a home that would be everything I would look for if it were for my own family. 

In my spare time I like to ride my horse around the moors, walking my two dogs Barney and Tilley and to spend time with my family. 

Kayleigh Kelland - Finance Director  EMAIL

I joined Eastleigh in 2016 having previously worked in practice as a Chartered Accountant.

When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family on our Alpaca farm and playing netball.

Mikaela Fewings - Office Manager  EMAIL

I joined Eastleigh in May 2013 following my graduation from my Accounting and Finance degree at Bournemouth University. My role at Eastleigh has developed over the years I love how varied my role is and being part of such a dedicated hard-working team.

Since having my daughter, Darcey, in February 2020, I have returned to Eastleigh part time so when I am not in the office I am with my daughter and we enjoy being outside no matter what the English weather throws at us enjoying long walks around the forest with our Labrador Cooper.

Connor Fewings - Finance & HR  EMAIL

I re- joined Eastleigh Care Homes in January 2019. I initially trained as a carpenter, and fell into the role of care assistant. Since then I have left to become locality manager, but soon returned when the right role became available. My role varies on a day to day basis, which keeps me on my toes. 

In my spare time I like to go for walks with my Springer Spaniel and play football for my local club. 

Penne Knight - HR Assistant EMAIL

I Joined Eastleigh Care Homes in November 2014. Before joining I was a Catering manager for 23 years. So this was a complete career change, but I have learnt so much and love being part of a great team.

In my spare time I like to go on many walks and I am in the process of completing the South West Coast path walk which is a total of 630 miles.

James Kelland - Recruitment/Rental Property Agent


I Joined Eastleigh Care Homes in January 2020, my role is to look after the rental accommodation for Eastleigh which involves ensuring all new staff renting our accommodation arrive safely and have everything they need to be comfortable in our accommodation.

My previous role was based in the Insurance industry working as a Team Leader, managing a team of customer service advisors to ensure targets and company goals and service levels were achieved. 

In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit my playing many sports, mainly football, and am a big Manchester United fan. When I'm not in the office or playing football, I'm at home keeping our daughter Ivy busy. 

Helen Calder - Registered Manager - East Street  EMAIL

I joined Eastleigh in March 2015 as a carer. Ten months later I became their receptionist and have enjoyed every aspect of this role. This year I have been given the opportunity to develop a new role. I am very much looking forward to the exciting challenges that lay ahead. Since then I have taken on the role of registered Manager at the East Street home.

My partner & I moved to Exmoor from Berkshire 10 years ago and I love the outdoors. When I am not working I will usually be walking our lurcher Bryn, running, cooking or reading and enjoying a glass of wine in the garden.

Richard Thomas - Assistant Manager - East Street  EMAIL

I joined Eastleigh East Street in July 2020 as receptionist and after a busy few months of learning and getting to know everyone I was given the opportunity to become Assistant Manager, I’m really enjoying my new role and looking forward to all the challenges which lie ahead.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time at the stables with my horses and love to get out competing when I have time.


Sara Jenn - Operations Manager - Raleigh Mead



I started working for Eastleigh in November 2009 where I began working as a Receptionist at the Residential Home in South Molton. I stayed there for about 10 months before going to work at the home in Minehead for a year. I learnt a lot of valuable skills in this time, how the homes were run, their expectations and general office duties. In January 2012 I was offered the position of Receptionist when the new Nursing Home in South Molton opened and I have been here ever since. It has been nice being at Raleigh Mead from day one getting to know the residents, families and watching the home grow.

Ben Chapman  - Catering Manager EMAIL

I have been happily working at Eastleigh for 20 years (exactly half of my life) and have enjoyed being part of the growth of the business. I enjoy writing the menus and overseeing all aspects of the catering in our homes and work closely with all three of my catering teams having a very hands on managerial role. I have a love of food and am as happy cooking at home as I am at work. I am also an accomplished keyboard player and ballroom dancer as well as having a keen interest in my home and garden. When I'm not at work I spend lots of time pursuing my hobbies and enjoying quality time with my fiancé and our friends. We take every opportunity for weekends away and holidays and enjoy all aspects of our life both professional and recreational.

Jacky Charman  - Creative Therapist Coordinator EMAIL

I have been the company for several years. I am the Creatives Therapist Coordinator over seeing our Three homes. I am very passionate and enthusiastic about my role. Always trying to come up with new ideas. I arrange garden parties, trips out horse riding and shopping. I organize a full activities program for each home. I feel very lucky to be doing this role I feel I can make a difference to our residents.
