🤖 Meet our newest team member… well, almost! 🌱💚
We’ve welcomed a brand-new robotic lawn mower to Eastleigh Care Home, and it’s already hard at work helping to keep our gardens looking lovely for our residents to enjoy.
You’ll most likely spot it out and about during the evenings as it quietly makes its way around the grounds. If you’re visiting, please just keep an eye out for our little helper as it travels between the lawns.
💡 Now for the fun part… it needs a name!
We thought it would be lovely if our residents, families, visitors and followers could help us choose one. Pop your suggestions in the comments below! 👇
Who knows… once it’s got a name, don’t forget to give it a little wave if you see it on its rounds! 👋🤖
We can’t wait to see your ideas! 💚🌿

🌻 Sunflower Update! 🌻
We think we may have an official monster sunflower on our hands! 😍 After all the recent sunshine, our resident-grown sunflowers have had a real growth spurt, and they're now all at different stages.
Some are reaching for the sky, some are just catching up, and a few are already showing flower heads ready to burst into bloom and brighten our gardens in the weeks ahead. 🌞💛
Our residents have loved watching them grow day by day, checking on their progress and seeing just how tall they're becoming. We can't wait to see who grows the tallest... but our giant is certainly taking the lead at the moment! 🌻🏆
Keep watching this space for the next update... we have a feeling these beauties still have plenty more growing to do! 💛🌻

Today we had the privilege of welcoming the family of our lovely receptionist, Rachel, back to Eastleigh Care Home.
Rachel was such a valued part of our Eastleigh family. Even during her illness, she was determined to keep doing what she loved for as long as she possibly could. Sadly, her illness progressed, and when the time came, she chose to return to Eastleigh for her end-of-life care. It was a true privilege to care for Rachel and to support those closest to her during such a difficult time.
Today we gathered with her family as we dedicated a memorial plaque beneath a tree at the front of our home. Alongside it grows a beautiful pink 'Rachel' rose, planted in her memory. It is already thriving, with buds just waiting to bloom, and we hope this peaceful spot will become a place of quiet reflection for everyone who visits.
Rachel will always remain part of Eastleigh's story, and she is missed by us all.
To Rachel's family, thank you for sharing today with us. Our door is always open. Please don't ever feel like strangers—you will always be welcome to pop in for a cup of tea and a quiet moment beneath Rachel's tree.
God bless, Rachel. 🌹 ... See MoreSee Less
