Visitors Protocol Amended 13/08/2020 Thank you for your cooperation in advance, the government announced yesterday (22/07/2020) new guidance on visiting for care homes. At Eastleigh Care Home Group, we have developed a protocol for all visitors to follow. If you would like to visit Eastleigh Care Homes or services, we ask that you follow the instructions below. We would also like to bring to your attention that we are saddened to hear that visitors have subjected staff to verbal abuse, and will not be tolerated in any of our homes and services. Regrettably, should our staff be subjected to negative interactions from those visiting our premises we will view it as a choice to refuse to comply to our reasonable request to keep everyone safe and may withdraw visitation. Visiting will be in operation from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 4 pm There will be no visiting at weekends. There are obviously exceptions, and this will need to be agreed by the Registered Manager depending on the circumstances and will be very limited and discretionary Visitors who arrive without an appointment will not be permitted to visit and will be asked to leave The booking slot is time specific; this will allow us to clean the area before the next visitor arrives Only one family member will be allowed to visit Currently no children are permitted to visit as per government instructions No pets are permitted to visit We are unable to provide refreshments at this moment in time and you are unable to bring refreshments with you for the visit If you are bringing belongings for your loved one, we ask that you hand it to a member of staff, to allow them to cleanse the items before they are shared with your loved one. Please do not share drinks with your relative during the visit, or pass items between you. Please keep your visit to a social interaction only You will need to bring a Face Mask, and this must be worn for the duration of the visit. Please always maintain 2 m social distancing for the whole visit The Home reserves the right to decline your visit for justifiable reasons If you arrive early, please wait in your vehicle until your appointment. If you are late, you will only be given the time left for the appointment for that slot. Please do not enter the home You may contact the home on a day to day basis to see if there any slots left – like a ‘last minute appointment’ We are sorry for the inconvenience and we know how difficult this is during this pandemic Please be assured that our protocol is designed to maintain the safety of those within our care and those who work with us. Please help us to keep everyone as safe as we can!
