Accreditations

The Gold Standards Framework (GSF) is a nationally recognised accreditation for supporting palliative care. Find out more about our accreditations below:

Our Minehead home achieved The Gold Standards Framework http://www.goldstandardsframework.org.uk/home in 2013 and is a fully accredited home.

To qualify for the accreditation, care homes must have undertaken the full GSFCH training programme over 9 months, embedded this into their homes for at least 6 months and then undertaken a rigorous accreditation process which includes assessment against 20 clear standards of best practice.

Our South Molton homes are registered with the GSF; however historically Devon NHS has not used the GSF process and therefore we have not moved to become accredited with them in our Devon homes.  We do follow the GSF framework in these homes as it provides a very holistic approach.

Raleigh Mead in South Molton currently has two Registered Nurses completing a Level 5 qualification in an accredited palliative care process support by Devon.  The qualification is Certificate in Leading and Managing Services to Support End of Life and Significant Life Events.  These two nurses will also be supporting our residential home in South Molton to enhance the approach that we have to end of life care.
